Autofluorescent serotonin derivative. Serotonergic neurotoxin, depleting serotonin and norepinephrine. Can be used for the identification of living serotonergic neurons even in the presence of dopaminergic neurons. Its selectively uptaken into 5-hydroxytryptamine neurons.
